KAREN VINCENT GIVES DENTAL EDUCATION AT NEARBY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:

“I have been going to Playa Del Carmen since 1988. It wasn’t until 2001 that I read about Lavonna and Angel Notion. Since then I have volunteered through Angel Notion many times throughout the years. In the past I have placed dental sealants and fluoride varnish on children’s teeth , and given dental hygiene education to children and parents along with toothbrushes and fluoride treatments.
Most recently I went to a local elementary school near Angel Notion. I was invited by the principal to give education and toothbrushes to 4 classrooms of 6-8 year olds.
I try to educate students on how to brush their teeth properly, what foods are healthy for their bodies and teeth, and letting them know that Angel Notion has a Dentist that can look at their teeth, especially if they are having a toothache.
I am pleased to see the snack carts full of candy and sticky carbohydrates are no longer on school property during lunch times. I would love to see all schools have a water fountain in the future!”

Queremos darles las gracias por todo el apoyo brindado durante la Navidad y el Sorteo de Año Nuevo. Con su ayuda hemos podido dar miles de juguetes en la víspera de Navidad a todos los niños con la ayuda de voluntarios de todo el mundo. Fue otra maravillosa oportunidad de dar y sorprender a los niños en Playa del Carmen. ¡Gracias!

Como muchos de usteds saben, la Rifa de la Eco Sport 2011 planeada para el 6 de enero, se pospuso al no tener el permiso exacto para realizar el sorteo así como por no tener la cantidad necesaria de boletos vendidos para alcanzar nuestras metas. El permiso original fue otorgado por la Ciudad de Playa del Carmen. Este ha sido el procedimiento normal de los últimos 12 años; pero fuimos notificados de que era necesario obtener un permiso federal para celebrar la Rifa.

Es por esto que la fecha del sorteo se pospuso y tuvimos que comenzar el proceso de solicitud correspondiente a la Secretaría de Gobernación de la Ciudad de México. El trámite es tardado y una vez que se reúna todo lo necesario para el trámite del permiso, tendremos que esperar 10 días hábiles para obtener una respuesta.

Una vez que tengamos el permiso correspondiente, estableceremos una nueva fecha para el sorteo; volveremos a imprimir los boletos con el número del permiso federal; les haremos llegar el nuevo boleto; venderemos los boletos restantes y alguien se irá con una Eco Sport 2011 nuevecita a su casa.

Angelito Ramírez habrá obtenido la cirugía para salvar su vida y Angel Notion podrá tener un transporte nuevo para nuestros equipos médicos y voluntarios.

As many of you know, the 2011 Eco Sport Raffle, originally scheduled for January 6, was postponed. This was due to not having the correct permit for the draw. The original raffle permit was granted by the City of Playa del Carmen. This was the normal procedure in the last 12 years, but we were later notified of the need to obtain a federal raffle permit.

We have begun the application process at the Secretary of Federation in Mexico City. The process is slow and once we gather all necessary for processing the permit, we will have to wait 10 days for a response.

Here is the plan: Once we have the permit, we will establish a new date for the draw. We will print new tickets with the federal permit number, send new tickets to those who have already purchased tickets, and sell the remaining tickets. At the end of all of this, we will have the drawing, and a lucky winner will walk away with a brand new 2011 Eco Sport! Angel Ramirez will have completed his life saving surgery and Angel Notion will have a new Van to transport our medical teams and volunteers.

Desde hace 12 años, en Playa del Carmen, Angel Notion, Ayuda de los Ángeles. A.C., Organización fundada de acuerdo a las leyes mexicanas, y con escritura pública y registro ante SHCP, ha realizado actos concretos de ayuda en la mejora de la salud de más de 100,000 (cien mil) personas que han recibido desde una consulta médica hasta una cirugía a corazón abierto.

Con el único objetivo de AYUDAR A QUIENES LO NECESITAN, Angel Notion ha realizado campañas diversas para reunir fondos.
En esta ocasión, no es la excepción, Angel Notion ha organizado la Rifa de un auto último modelo,con el apoyo de empresas y autoridades para lograr la cirugía de Angel Ramírez (acceso abierto a su expediente en nuestra organización o a través de sus padres) y también para lograr reunir fondos para renovar el medio de transporte para nuestros médicos que vienen del extranjero y para nuestros pacientes que requieren traslados Playa del Carmen a diferentes puntos de la Península de Yucatán o ciudades cercanas. Comprometidos con el éxito para salvar la vida de Angel Ramírez, la fecha original considerada para la rifa fue 6 de enero, pero debido a que la venta de boletos se llevó a cabo durante el periodo vacacional, no terminamos de vender todos los boletos, y cambiamos la fecha del sorteo al próximo 14 de febrero para lograr nuestros objetivos. Recaudamos ya el dinero necesario para la operación de Angel Ramírez pero no el necesario para pagar el auto a rifar así como la renovación de transporte de la Asociación para médicos invitados. El cambio de fecha se realizó con el apoyo de las autoridades, quienes nos han acompañado en nuestra labor a lo largo de estos 12 años. Así mismo, el 6 de enero, se transmitió por Riviera FM 98.1 una entrevista donde Lavonna Redman informa a la audiencia y medios el cambio de fecha y las razones del mismo.

El sorteo estaba planeado en modo tómbola, pero ahora, a petición de los participantes, el boleto ganador será el que coincida con los últimos 3 dígitos de la Lotería Nacional del día 14 de febrero 2011 y será entregado ante los medios, a su ganador ese mismo día que coincide con el 12avo Aniversario de la Asociación Ayuda de los Ángeles A.C.

Angel Ramírez necesita una cirugía a corazón abierto, y para ello, debemos llevarlo a un hospital de alto nivel que no existe en la región. La cita para su operación en Mississipi con el Dr. Jorge Salazar sigue en espera ya que los papeles para poder sacarlo del país junto con su mamá siguen en trámite. Ante esta urgencia, el Dr. Yáñez del Tec de Monterrey quién lleva tres años atendiendo el caso de Angel Ramírez, está dispuesto a intervenir a Angelito cuanto antes. Desafortunadamente, Angel Ramírez se encuentra ahora enfermo y necesita recuperarse antes de poder ser operado. Diagnóstico de la Dra. Beatriz Gutierrez:
